At the beginning of June 2010, Agatha, one of the tropical storms which threaten Guatemala in ever more frequent intervals, created a great deal of damage in Panajachel. Vivian Suter’s studios and picture storage were also affected, with the result that a great deal of her work merged once more with the nature that had inspired it.
